SUMS ADD UP FOR CHILDREN AT HIGHAM

Learning their times tables has taken on a third dimension for children at Higham-on-the-Hill Primary School thanks to Hinckley and Rugby Building Society.

The local building society has sponsored an educational play rug to help the 50 children at the village school practise their multiplication skills.

Receiving the rug on behalf of the school, Chair of Higham-on-the-Hill School Parent and Friends Association Nikki Mumby said: “The PFA is constantly striving to raise funds for additional items for the school, we are extremely grateful to Hinckley and Rugby Building Society for its valued support.”

Society PR Officer Lisajane Gooden added: “Making learning fun is an important part of children gaining confidence in their number skills.

“Hinckley and Rugby is delighted to support the children and PFA at Higham-on-the-Hill School.”

Higham-on-the-Hill School PFA is currently fund-raising for the second stage of its outdoor educational trim-trail project. Anyone wishing to sponsor the scheme can contact the PFA by emailing them at office@higham-on-the-hill.leics.sch.uk
