SOCIETY TAKES CANCER THERAPY SERVICE ON BOARD

A charity which offers support to those whose lives are touched by cancer in the Hinckley area has received a welcome boost from Hinckley and Rugby Building Society.

The Society has purchased a notice board to promote the fortnightly complimentary therapy service offered at the St Francis Centre in the town by Leicester based Coping with Cancer.

Specialising in supporting over 500 local people in Leicestershire and Rutland, the charity offers a variety of treatments including aromatherapy massage, Indian head massage, reiki and reflexology and the opportunity to chat over a cuppa at the Tudor Road centre on alternate Tuesday afternoons between 1.30pm and 4pm.

Jane Hagreen, Charity Fundraiser for Coping With Cancer, said: “We are pleased to now be able to offer our services to clients in Hinckley without the need for them to travel to Leicester.

“I would like to thank Hinckley and Rugby Building Society for supporting our work by sponsoring our portable notice board.”

Society PR Officer Lisajane Gooden commented: “Hinckley and Rugby is delighted to be able to assist the work of Coping With Cancer within the local community.”
