SOUTH LEICESTERSHIRE HOME-START APPOINTS NEW CHAIRMAN

John Day, Hinckley and Rugby's Senior Independent Director and Deputy Chairman, has recently been appointed Chairman of the Home-Start South Leicestershire.

A family support charity, whose head office is based in Market Harborough, Home-Start has branches nationwide.

Having held strong associations with the charity, both the Society's Chris White and John Day have had links with Home-Start for many years.

The South Leicestershire scheme, whose head office is in Market Harborough supports families throughout the Harborough District, including the town of Lutterworth and villages such as Broughton Astley.

John has been the Treasurer of Home-Start South Leicestershire for the last 8 years, and follows his wife, Marise, as Chairman. Marise has been an active Home Start volunteer for almost 15 years and was Chairman from 2002 - 2005.
