HINCKLEY AND RUGBY SAY THANK YOU TO LONG SERVING TYPING SUPERVISOR

Hinckley and Rugby Building Society’s longest serving employees has retired after clocking up an impressive 42 years of dedicated service.

Joining the Society as a junior typist back in 1966, Typing Supervisor Lesley Cook typed her last letter for the Society on Friday, after working her way through more than 2.5 million sheets of paper over the years.

Having been based at Hinckley and Rugby’s Principal Office, in Upper Bond Street, since she joined the building society, Lesley has managed the Typing Services Department for many years.

Presenting Lesley with gifts of a flat screen HD TV and a gold bracelet to mark her retirement, Chief Executive Chris White said: “Hinckley and Rugby prides itself on having many long serving staff members.

“Lesley has been with the Society for so long, Head Office will feel differently without her.”

Lesley wished to thank her colleagues and added: “The Hinckley and Rugby is like having another family.”

Lesley is looking forward to now spending more time on her narrowboat with husband Richard, who retired earlier this year.
