Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) were introduced by the Government in April 1999. All income and gains from ISA savings are exempt from UK income tax and capital gains tax. You can find out more information about ISAs and current allowances on GOV.UK.

You can find information below about subscribing to your ISA this year, resubscriptions and transfers in or out.

If you would like further information, or to discuss your ISA with us, please contact us using the details below.

Subscribing to your Hinckley & Rugby ISA account

You can pay funds into your ISA account, within your annual subscription limits, by cash, cheque or electronic transfer. Refer to our Help & Support section on how to pay funds into my account, for further details.

If you have a fixed rate ISA, you will not be able to pay any additional funds during the fixed rate period.

ISA resubscription

If you haven’t credited any funds to your account in the previous tax year, you may be asked to complete an ISA Resubscription form before you are able to pay into your account for the current tax year.

Transferring your Hinckley & Rugby ISA to a different Hinckley & Rugby ISA

If you’d like to transfer your current Hinckley & Rugby ISA to another ISA within the Society, you will need to complete an ISA Transfer form, along with an application form for the new ISA (if applicable). View our current ISA products or call us on 01455 894 060 to speak to a member of our team.

Transfers from an ISA account to a non-ISA account will result in the loss of the fund’s tax-free status. If you’re a UK taxpayer, you may be required to pay tax on the interest.

Transferring your ISA to another provider

Hinckley & Rugby Cash ISA accounts can be transferred to another approved ISA provider subject to the terms and conditions of your ISA account.

You can transfer current year subscriptions in whole and/or previous years’ investments in whole or in part.

You will need to contact your new provider to arrange for the transfer to be processed. Once we have received the relevant documents from your new provider, we will arrange to transfer your funds.

Transfers from an ISA account to a non-ISA account will result in the loss of the fund’s tax-free status. If you’re a UK taxpayer, you may be required to pay tax on the interest.

Transferring your ISA from another provider to Hinckley & Rugby

Unfortunately, Hinckley & Rugby does not currently accept transferred ISA funds from other providers.
