Hinckley & Rugby Building Society is in the running for several awards for its savings and mortgage ranges and its quality service.
The mutual is a triple finalist in the Moneyfacts Awards, for Best Building Society Mortgage Provider, Best First-Time Buyer Mortgage Provider and Best Building Society Savings Provider. The winners will be announced at the Tower of London on June 12.
Lee Tillcock, editor of Moneyfacts, said: “The finalists, and eventual winners, at this year’s Moneyfacts Awards should be rightly proud of their achievements.
“They have offered a range of products and services that have best supported their sector, at a time when its success and growth remain vitally important.”
Hinckley & Rugby is also a finalist in The Mortgage Awards from Moneyage, for First Time Buyer Mortgage Lender of the Year. Its fellow finalists are Family Building Society and The Melton Building Society. The winner will be announced in London on May 10.
Chief executive Chris White said: “It’s particularly pleasing to be nominated for two awards for our service to first-time buyers. As well as very competitive mortgages, we offer a personal service, decisions made by people rather than computers and the ability for niche applications which may be complex to be put to the Society’s most senior staff.
“To also be a finalist as a savings provider is testament to the hard work of our savings team and to Hinckley & Rugby’s mutual ethos of looking after the interests of our savers.”
