Savings Accounts Terms and Conditions Effective 13 December 2025

Important customer notice
From 13 December 2025, we are changing our Savings Accounts Terms and Conditions and H&R Online Terms and Conditions. The details of what is changing are outlined below.
We are making a change to how we send electronic payments.
- We will only send electronic payments directly to you and not to anyone else.
- You can still have payments sent to a bank account in your name.
- The easiest way to set this up is by using our online service, H&R Online. To use this service, you will need to register. Click here to get started.
We are changing the amount you can send using Faster Payments.
- You can view the payment limits for online Faster Payments in our H&R Online Terms and Conditions.
- You can also find the payment limits for Faster Payments made using an alternative method in Section 11.5 of the Savings Account Terms and Conditions booklet.
APP Scam Reimbursement Protection
If you are the victim of an Authorised Push Payment (APP) scam involving a Faster Payment from your account, Hinckley & Rugby Building Society will reimburse you in accordance with the Faster Payments Scheme reimbursement rules and the Payment Systems Regulator’s FPS reimbursement requirement. This applies to payments made from your account, subject to eligibility and exceptions set out in the Scheme rules.
This change ensures that Hinckley & Rugby Building Society customers are protected against APP scams and that we comply with the Payment Systems Regulator’s requirements. It applies to all accounts from which Faster Payments can be made — including those restricted to nominated accounts only.
