How to pay into your savings account
You can pay money into a Hinckley & Rugby Building Society account by electronic transfer, cash, or cheque.
- An electronic transfer could be a regular standing order or a one-off faster payment from another bank or building society. To make a payment, use the Society’s bank details below.
- Cheques or cash can be paid in to any of our branches or agencies. The maximum amount of cash that can be paid in is £3,000 per day. Cheques can also be posted to your local branch or agency, or to our head office. For security reasons, do not send cash through the post. Our postal addresses are here.
The Society’s bank details
If you wish to make a savings payment direct from your bank account, the following details will need to be quoted:
Account Name: Hinckley & Rugby Building Society
Account Number: 74575938
Sort Code: 40-05-30
Reference or roll number: Your 11-digit Hinckley & Rugby account number. This can be found in your passbook. Without this, we will not be able to transfer the money into your account, and it will be returned to the sending bank or building society.
When setting up your payment, select ‘Business’ as the account type. This is because the payment will be received into our business account.
