Community Sponsorship Scheme Terms and Conditions
- Eligibility: The Community Sponsorship Scheme aims to provide support to local small charities, community groups, sports clubs, and other good causes within Leicestershire and Warwickshire. Only organisations based within Leicestershire and Warwickshire will be considered for sponsorship.
- Available funding: Successful applicants will be eligible for donations ranging from £200 to £500, which must be used for the stated purpose within 12 months of receiving the donation.
- Application process: To be considered for sponsorship of up to £500, organisations must fully complete the online application form, which can be found at hrbs.co.uk/the-society/community/community-sponsorship-scheme. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The application will be reviewed by our committee at their next meeting.
- Decision-making: Whilst the Society aims to support a variety of good causes, not all applications will be successful. The decision-making process takes into account factors such as geographical location, type of organisation, and other relevant considerations.
- Application review timeline: The committee aims to meet every two weeks to review applications; however, at busy times the review process may take longer. We aim to respond to all applications within four weeks. We will inform successful applicants of the next steps for claiming the funds.
- Use of funds: It is a requirement of the scheme that funds are used only for the purpose detailed by the applicant on the application form. If there is a change of circumstances, resulting in a different intended use of the funds, this must be communicated to and approved by the Society in advance. Hinckley & Rugby reserves the right to request proof that the funds have been used appropriately, and failure to comply may result in the need for repayment of the funds or termination of sponsorship.
- Publicity and promotion: By accepting sponsorship from Hinckley & Rugby, recipients agree to cooperate with reasonable requests relating to publicity and promotion. This may include providing photographs, written feedback, or other reasonable requests. Recipients acknowledge that such materials may be used for promotional purposes in various media channels, including but not limited to social media, websites, newsletters, and press releases.
- Termination or modification: The Society reserves the right to end or change the sponsorship agreement at any time, with or without cause, by providing written notice to the organisation receiving sponsorship. Circumstances that may result in termination or modification of the sponsorship agreement include, but are not limited to, the recipient organisation’s failure to follow the terms and conditions of the agreement, breach of applicable laws or regulations, or changes in organisational circumstances that impact eligibility or suitability for sponsorship.
- Data protection: By submitting an application to the Community Sponsorship Scheme, applicants consent to the collection, storage, and processing of their personal data by Hinckley & Rugby Building Society. This data will be used solely for the purpose of evaluating the application and administering the sponsorship programme. Hinckley & Rugby Building Society may also use this data to contact applicants about future products or services that may benefit their organisation, unless otherwise indicated by the applicant on the application form. All personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and Hinckley & Rugby Building Society’s Privacy Policy. By submitting an application to the Community Sponsorship Scheme, applicants acknowledge that they agree to these terms and conditions. Hinckley & Rugby Building Society reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at its discretion.
